Being in business for yourself, having a full time job, and also having the responsibility of being a parent means that your time and attention is divided into many different areas the majority of the time. Unlike having a “9-5 job” where you’re clocking in and out, being an entrepreneur means that basically you’re clocked in 24/7 because every good business owner wants to make sure that they’re business is running properly, and in order to do so you have to have the discipline to sometimes do things even when you don’t feel like it. Putting in long hours and sometimes even cutting into your family time to make sure that your business stays afloat are just some of the sacrifices, but to know that this business is pretty much like your baby and to watch it grow from the effort that you’ve put in is a feeling like no other.
The negative side to all of this is the potential of not getting the support that you’d hoped for, and having to have enough self confidence and self discipline to keep going. Any business owner will tell you that once to start a business, the support thins out, but the positive part of that is that you see who is really there for you. You’ll always have those people who will say that “they could have done that” or that the market is “over saturated “ for what you’re marketing, but never let them make you think that. There is enough business and money out there for everyone who wants to make it, to have a share. You were placed in this position for a reason and a purpose. There are people who believe in you and what you have to offer this world, DON’T LET THEM DOWN. If your heart is really into what you’re doing, if you really have the drive to make it, and your intentions are pure then you can rest assured that the business is coming, God will make sure that you have everything that you need from support to resources, and your business will thrive.
